What You'll Do:
Product Ownership Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on product configuration and usage, and the different ways the product is utilized by the end user. Perform root cause analysis and investigation during product development, manufacturing, or customer field support operations. Support development and maintenance of various testing procedures, scripts, and automation for use in product verification and manufacturing QA testing. Product Verification and Validation Develop testing strategy informed by product architecture, requirements, and system definition. Manage product testing plans and procedures, ensuring capture of cross-functional testing efforts, and generation of searchable test reports which includes details of test setup, parameters, and pass/fail criteria. Create and update functional and environmental test reports. Coordinate with external vendors to execute product certifications such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and CE compliance. Edge Network and Compute Technology Expert Research new test equipment to improve test effectiveness and reduce quality escapes, giving our customers solutions they can trust. Identify "commercial off the shelf" (COTS) products that could be integrated into products or proof of concept demonstrations for obtaining customer feedback. Maintain relevant vendor relationships to stay abreast of technological advances that can be applied to DTECH's product domain. System Architecture Develop logical architectures that capture systems via object-oriented and modular design principles. Create state machine diagrams that demonstrate how a system should behave based on external signals ("black box" definition).
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Strongly Desired Exposure to Information Technology and Internet Protocol (IP) networking areas Exposure to Cisco, VMware, Linux, and Microsoft Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and overall IP networking technology Ability to load, configure and implement virtual machines in a VMware environment along with other hypervisors Ability to test and document new products and clearly communicate design improvements Certifications such as Cisco
CCNA, CCNP
in Route and Switch, Security, and IP telephony. Aptitude to operate environmental test equipment Desirable Basic electrical engineering background Understand low-level computer concepts (BIOS programming, ethernet controllers, etc.) Software development background Knowledge of deployed communications and telecommunications such as
SATCOM, 3G/4G
LTE, MANET/MESH, and fiber. TCP/IP, fiber optic, cellular (3G/4G/LTE), and serial networks WAN optimization (SCPS-TP, Compression, Data Caching, etc.) Network routing (BGP, OSPF, RIP, GRE, IPv4, IPv6, etc.) Familiar with networking products from companies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba Satellite carriers such as Inmarsat, Thuraya, Intelsat, or similar; and their service providers

products and networks Radio Over IP (RoIP) Voice Over IP (VoIP) IP Call Managers (CISCO, Asterisk, FreePBX, etc) Video transport (MPEG2, RTP, H.264) Transport security (IPSec, Suite B, Type-1 cryptographic equipment, CSfC) SIP media servers (e.g. Motorola Solutions' Wave) Edge networking equipment such as hand-held radios or VoIP devices Protocol analyzers and test equipment (Wireshark, Iperf, Spirent, etc.) Military communications experience
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in system engineering or a related discipline, with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated performance (i.e., US Veteran with operational experience in baseband communications equipment). Ensure requirements traceability from the test procedure to system requirements. Drive thorough and complete product testing that flows from a deep understanding of product definition and warfighter usage. Ensure we find the product defects before a customer does.
Cubic Pay Range:
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 + benefits. The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
