Job Title:

Systems Engineer Position Summary The ideal candidate will support the development of advanced control systems by gathering customer requirements, contributing to systems architecture, and guiding a cross-functional team through the product development life cycle. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that complex electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems meet performance expectations, quality standards, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities Assist in identifying customer needs and translating them into clear, actionable system requirements. Support the development of both physical and functional architectures for project delivery. Establish, track, and manage team goals based on company initiatives, product strategy, and project timelines. Develop, analyze, integrate, verify, and validate highly complex control systems for Vermeer products, including ownership of the high‑level system architecture. Lead and mentor cross‑functional teams throughout the complete life cycle of product development—from concept through validation and release. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in systems engineering , including requirement management and system‑level integration. Proficiency in project management with experience driving cross‑functional engineering teams. Hands-on experience with electronic control systems , mechanical engineering , and hydraulic systems . Experience developing electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems in a production environment. Strong analytical skills, including experience in root cause analysis tools such as

FMEA , 8D

, and Six Sigma methodologies. Exposure to model-based systems design principles and practices. Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation. Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies .
