In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Systems Operations Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Systems Operations Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Systems Operations Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Systems Operations Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Systems Operations Engineering.
Qualifications:
4+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education. This role supports the Archiving and Compliance team, which owns the system of record for regulated electronic communications across the bank. The platform is a large-scale, enterprise archive and compliance system critical to regulatory, remediation, and eDiscovery requirements. The team operates in a highly regulated, production environment and is actively evolving—moving away from traditional System Administrator models toward SRE, automation-first, and cloud-aligned practices.
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced technical resource to provide day-to-day functional and production support for a regulated archiving and compliance platform. This role requires strong operational discipline, comfort working within strict compliance frameworks, and the ability to identify and automate manual, repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate has experience supporting large enterprise systems, working with databases, and collaborating within compliance-focused environments where documentation, auditability, and precision are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational and functional support for the bank's archiving and compliance system Support remediation and compliance-driven initiatives in coordination with regulatory and audit partners Monitor system health, analyze issues, and perform root cause analysis in a production environment Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet regulatory and compliance standards Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to transition manual processes into automated solutions Support ongoing cloud migration and modernization initiatives aligned with SRE principles Required Qualifications Proven experience supporting enterprise-grade applications in production environments Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, and infrastructure layers Experience working in highly regulated, compliance-driven environments Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective collaborator able to work with technical, compliance, and business stakeholders Preferred Experience Archiving, compliance, or regulated communications platforms Cloud transformation or modernization initiatives SRE or operations-to-engineering transformation initiatives PowerShell Java or tomcat Compliance, eDiscovery or Archiving application experience Power Bi experience Service Now and \or Database management experience Technical Responsibilities & Skills Reliability, Automation & SRE Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts or operational automation Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation and operational efficiency Ability to identify manual, labor-intensive processes and automate them Application & Middleware Working knowledge of Java-based applications, including testing fundamentals Experience supporting Tomcat or similar Java application servers Databases & Data Management Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, or equivalent) Database application experience to support decentralization of administrative functions Experience with Liquibase or similar database change management tools (preferred) Compliance & Archiving (Nice to Have) Experience with compliance, archiving, or eDiscovery applications Familiarity working in environments with heightened regulatory and audit requirements Demonstrated comfort adhering to strict operational controls and compliance standards Reporting & ITSM ServiceNow experience for incident management, record keeping, and workflow tracking Power BI experience for operational or compliance reporting (preferred) Environment & Expectations Heavy production support environment with compliance and regulatory focus On-call support required, including some non-traditional hours Fast-paced environment supporting large-scale enterprise systems and databases Skill set is expected to evolve as the team continues moving toward cloud-based platforms
