Job Description

Job Description Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to serve as the Technical Authority for assigned plant systems. This individual will be responsible for maintaining system health, operability, configuration management, and overall technical oversight of assigned systems. The engineer will coordinate design and configuration changes, assess impacts to safety authorization bases, troubleshoot equipment and system issues, and partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve reliability and performance. Additional responsibilities include conducting system walkdowns, supporting equipment testing and inspections, evaluating spare parts requirements, and assisting with system turnover activities. This position supports a highly regulated environment and requires strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics, or related) from an ABET-accredited program. 2+ years of relevant engineering experience. Experience with system engineering, equipment reliability, maintenance, or plant operations. Knowledge of configuration management and change control processes. Experience evaluating system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing improvements. Ability to support system walkdowns, testing, inspections, and maintenance activities. DOE Q Clearance or ability to obtain one Previous DOE, nuclear, federal, or highly regulated industry experience. Experience supporting configuration management programs. Background with design change packages and engineering change control. Experience performing system health assessments and equipment operability reviews. Familiarity with maintenance planning, spare parts evaluations, and system turnover activities.
