PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (SIE) is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Carter BloodCare's (CBC) network infrastructure. This position applies advanced expertise in Cisco networking technologies, routing protocols, SD-WAN, and infrastructure security to design, implement, and optimize resilient network solutions. The SIE ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of network systems by maintaining LAN/WAN environments, supporting VOIP systems, and collaborating with cybersecurity personnel to enforce security standards. This position proactively monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves complex network and infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance across critical systems, including hybrid cloud environments. The SIE exemplifies and champions CBC Core Values and Code of Conduct and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the SIE is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. This position participates in the shared on-call rotation with the IS Technical Services team. Exempt employees are expected to maintain availability beyond standard business hours when business needs arise. Regular, full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technologies Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting VOIP systems, preferably Cisco-based solutions Minimum of 3 years of experience with SD-WAN technologies and implementation Experience in a lead, mentoring, or supervisory capacity, preferred Experience administering enterprise systems and services, including Windows Domain Services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy) and Microsoft 365, preferred Experience supporting network and infrastructure environments across cloud and virtualization platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Nutanix), preferred Experience managing infrastructure lifecycle activities (e.g., patching, firmware upgrades, ongoing maintenance of network devices), preferred

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
