Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Hybrid#26-06285 Charlotte, NC Irving, TX Onsite Contract Starts 6/28/2026 Ends 12/27/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong background in software engineering and a passion for solvingplex problems at scale. This role blends software engineering with operational expertise to deliver stable, scalable, and resilient services, while reducing toil and shifting operations left. The position requires three days onsite per week.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement automated tooling to eliminate manual toil and optimize operations Build and enhance monitoring, alerting and overall observability Champion the SRE practice by modeling best practices, mentoring peers, and collaborating with embedded platform SRE teams Enhance system availability in a multi-cloud environment by evolving resiliency patterns Introduce and scale AIOps, including self-healing and autonomic systems using AI/ML, RPA, and unifiedmunications Automate key SRE metrics and IT service operations processes, including customer impact analysis, availability tracking, SLO/SLI adnce, error budgeting, and incident response Support critical applications and customer journeys, lead Agile-based remediation efforts, conduct blameless postmortems, and drive root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues Implement and guide through Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) during modernization and uplift initiatives define, govern and enforce Permit to Operate

Requirements:

5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience 2+ years of experience leading, operating and performing within an SRE team Proficiency in Python and/or Java/J2EE Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ) Strong SQL and database design skills Expertise in Linux and container platforms (Kubernetes/OCP) Experience with cloud platforms such as PCF, AWS, GCP, or Azure Knowledge of CI/CD and Automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible) Experience with Observability and AIOps tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Splunk, AppDynamics) Understanding of foundational AI/ML concepts Strong written and verbalmunication skills Desired skills: Experience with AutoSys Experience in corporate banking Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Remedy Pay range: $51.72 - $59.72 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
