Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems. We are looking for a Spring 2027 (January - May or August) Factory Digitalization Engineering Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas. This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation. You'll make an impact by: Developing and maintaining 3D digital assets and CAD models for manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and work cells. Supporting factory digital twin development by integrating digital assets into simulation and manufacturing environments. Developing and improving workflows that streamline equipment modeling, including digital scanning and parametric modeling. Collaborating with simulation and manufacturing engineering teams to support digital mockups and CAPEX projects. Defining and implementing PLM and digital integration workflows to standardize how assets are incorporated into factory digital twins. Testing and validating digital assets, integration methods, and defined requirements. Documenting and standardizing digitalization methods, requirements, and integration frameworks while maintaining the factory knowledge base. Supporting factory teams on digital modeling standards, integration requirements, and new digitalization methods. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications Juniors, Seniors, and graduate students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co-op Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation Basic proficiency with CAD/3D modeling Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) from January 2027 to May 2027 or August 2027 Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation and be located within 50 miles of Grand Prairie, TX as this role does not provide housing or relocation support Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship This internship/co-op is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to tools such as Fusion 360 Demonstrated understanding of digital twins, virtual factory environments, manufacturing processes, and production systems Familiarity with engineering drawings, factory layouts, material flow, and equipment integration Exposure to discrete event simulation or digital factory tools such as Technomatix Plant Simulation Understanding of data integration and the connection between physical manufacturing systems and digital environments Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across engineering and factory teams to support operational improvements
