WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Senox is looking for a senior engineer responsible for designing, operating, securing, and automating hybrid infrastructure using Scale Computing (HC3) virtualization and Amazon Web Services. Own monitoring/alerting, automation, backup/recovery, and debugging of distributed systems to ensure high availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency. Talents You Have To Have 4-6 years in IT infrastructure with progressive responsibility. Hands-on experience administering Server and Enterprise virtualization (HC3, VMware, Proxmox, etc.) Strong AWS administration experience (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, connectivity). Proven monitoring/alerting and observability expertise.
Automation skills:
scripting (PowerShell/Bash), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK) and CI/CD integration. Deep experience debugging distributed systems and managing incidents. Backup & DR experience for hybrid on‑prem/cloud environments. Solid cybersecurity knowledge for hybrid deployments. Familiarity with Linux and Windows server internals. Strong communication, documentation, and incident management skills. Tasks You Have To Enjoy Doing Design, deploy, and maintain Scale Computing HC3 clusters and VM environments; integrate with on-prem networking and storage. Administer AWS resources (IaaS, identity, storage, networking) and manage hybrid AWS-on‑prem connectivity. Build and operate monitoring and observability (Amazon CloudWatch/CloudTrail/X-Ray, Prometheus/Grafana, SIEM) with SLOs and tuned alerts. Implement automation and IaC for provisioning and configuration (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK where applicable, PowerShell, CLI, automation frameworks). Troubleshoot and debug distributed systems and production incidents across HC3 and AWS; perform RCA and implement preventative fixes. Design and operate backup, snapshot, and disaster recovery strategies across Scale Computing and AWS (including restore testing). Co-lead cloud and on‑prem cybersecurity practices: identity & access management, network segmentation, patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, and incident response. Manage VM lifecycle, capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization for HC3 and cloud VMs. Create/run runbooks, conduct postmortems, maintain operational documentation, and mentor junior staff. Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and governance for hybrid deployments. Strong Candidates Will Have Scale Computing certifications or vendor training. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Experience supporting enterprise ERP and PLM systems Experience with container orchestration (AKS/Kubernetes). Experience with hybrid cloud networking, SD-WAN, or VPN technologies. Knowledge of cloud cost management and governance.
