Senox Corporation

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

About Senox:
Senox Corporation is a leading manufacturer and supplier of seamless gutter products for residential and light commercial construction. We manufacture the components of our seamless gutter systems and provide comprehensive gutter machine service to keep our customers productive. We are a proudly family-owned and operated, debt-free company that continues to grow to meet the needs of our customers. What We're Looking For Senox is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer responsible for the reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of the technology infrastructure supporting our manufacturing plants, branch locations, corporate offices, and data center. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong emphasis on enterprise networking, Wi-Fi, physical infrastructure, Windows systems, virtualization, monitoring, and troubleshooting. You should be equally comfortable diagnosing wireless performance on a manufacturing floor, troubleshooting switching and routing, resolving DNS or DHCP problems, managing firewalls and VPN connectivity, and administering virtual servers. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of complex problems, finds root causes rather than repeatedly treating symptoms, and helps us move from reactive support toward a stable, standardized, well-monitored infrastructure environment. Talents You Have To Have 6+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, preferably in multi-site manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or similar environments. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, STP/RSTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPNs, firewalls, and WAN connectivity. Strong wireless networking skills, including Wi-Fi design, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting in challenging physical environments. Understanding of RF fundamentals including RSSI, SNR, interference, channel utilization/planning, transmit power, and roaming. Experience troubleshooting network performance using packet captures, SNMP, syslog, monitoring, and other diagnostic tools. Experience with physical infrastructure including MDFs/IDFs, structured cabling, fiber, copper, switches, access points, racks, UPS systems, and PoE devices. Strong Windows Server administration skills including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and permissions. Experience administering enterprise virtualization platforms such as Scale Computing HC3, VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox. Experience implementing and maintaining proactive infrastructure monitoring and alerting. Working knowledge of cybersecurity, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, network segmentation, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Tasks You Have To Enjoy Doing Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure across Senox locations. Diagnose complex network and Wi-Fi performance problems using data and appropriate diagnostic tools rather than trial-and-error troubleshooting. Evaluate wireless coverage and performance in manufacturing and warehouse environments and recommend improvements to AP placement, channel configuration, power, roaming, and capacity. Troubleshoot switching, routing, VLAN, spanning-tree, firewall, VPN, WAN, latency, packet-loss, DNS, and DHCP issues. Maintain and improve physical infrastructure including network closets, cabling, fiber, switches, access points, UPS systems, racks, and related equipment. Establish and maintain standards for infrastructure installation, configuration, labeling, documentation, and monitoring across locations. Work with low-voltage contractors, ISPs, telecommunications providers, and technology vendors on infrastructure installations, repairs, and upgrades. Build and maintain proactive monitoring and alerting for networks, servers, infrastructure services, WAN connections, and other critical technology. Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services. Administer Scale Computing HC3 clusters and virtual machines, including lifecycle, capacity, performance, patching, backup, and recovery. Support infrastructure security through segmentation, firewall policy, endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, and access control. Troubleshoot business-critical systems and determine whether problems originate with the network, infrastructure, endpoint, application, or another dependency. Perform root-cause analysis on significant or recurring incidents and implement preventative improvements. Maintain network diagrams, inventories, configuration documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure standards. Automate repetitive infrastructure administration and monitoring tasks using PowerShell, Bash, APIs, or other appropriate tools. Mentor junior IT staff and help establish consistent troubleshooting practices across the team. Travel to Senox locations as needed for troubleshooting, assessments, projects, and infrastructure improvements. Strong Candidates Will Have Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or other operational environments where infrastructure availability directly affects production. Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking/wireless and WatchGuard firewalls. Experience performing or interpreting wireless site surveys and using Wi-Fi/RF diagnostic tools. Experience with Scale Computing HC3. Experience with monitoring and discovery platforms such as Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Lansweeper. Experience supporting handheld scanners, mobile computers, printers, and other devices common to manufacturing and warehouse environments. Experience supporting enterprise ERP, manufacturing, warehouse management, or PLM systems. Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, hybrid identity, AWS, or hybrid cloud connectivity. Infrastructure automation experience using PowerShell, Terraform, APIs, or similar technologies. Relevant networking or infrastructure certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Network+, CWNA, Fortinet, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Scale Computing, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
