Automotive Systems Engineer -

The Woodlands, TX Job Duties:

The position involves the application of mechanical engineering principles to the analysis and evaluation of automotive systems.

Specific duties include:

1. Apply mechanical engineering principles to analyze the performance and functionality of automotive systems, including powertrain, drivetrain, and electronic control systems. 2. Conduct engineering evaluations of vehicle components and subsystems to identify performance issues and determine root causes. 3. Utilize engineering software and analytical tools to assess system behavior and support technical evaluations. 4. Interpret technical data from onboard diagnostic systems and testing processes to support system analysis and performance improvement. 5. Review engineering specifications and technical documentation to ensure accurate system analysis and compliance with design standards. 6. Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation summarizing analyses, findings, and recommendations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related engineering field, or foreign equivalent and one year of experience applying mechanical engineering principles to the analysis and evaluation of automotive systems, including diagnostics of mechanical and electronic components.
