The Role This opportunity is for a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer focused on building and operating large-scale, cloud-native infrastructure and event-driven platforms in a collaborative enterprise technology environment. The role centers on designing self-service infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and supporting scalable Kubernetes-based platforms using modern DevOps practices and cloud technologies. Candidates will work closely with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, automation, observability, and developer experience while contributing to high-impact technology initiatives within the financial services industry. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in a technology-related field along with at least 5 years of hands-on Kubernetes and DevOps experience. Strong expertise is needed in Kubernetes architecture, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, observability tooling, and service mesh technologies. The role also values 3+ years of Java and Spring Boot microservices development experience, including containerized deployments on Kubernetes. Additional experience with Apache Kafka, event streaming, and stream-processing technologies is considered a strong plus. Candidates should also have Agile experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, technically complex environments.
Must Have:
5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production Kubernetes clusters (self-managed or managed services such as
EKS, AKS, GKE
).
Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals:
workload scheduling, RBAC, network policies, Helm/Kustomize, Operators, and cluster autoscaling. Strong experience with DevOps practices and tooling: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD / Flux GitOps), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), and container image management (Docker, container registries). 3+ years of experience developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven design patterns. Experience containerizing and deploying Java applications to Kubernetes, including JVM tuning for container environments.
Pay:
$70.00 - $75.00 per hour
