Cloud Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation. This role is responsible for designing, building, automating, and operating scalable event-driven platforms and self-service infrastructure solutions in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, cloud platforms, and modern observability tools, along with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, automate, and support large-scale cloud-native infrastructure and event-driven platforms Build and maintain production Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment workflows Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible Build and support self-service developer platforms and reusable deployment templates Manage containerized workloads and optimize Kubernetes-based environments Configure and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing Support service mesh technologies and API gateway implementations Design and deploy microservices-based applications and event-driven solutions Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to deliver scalable technology solutions Drive automation initiatives to improve development agility and operational efficiency Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and mitigate technical risks Mentor engineering teams and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions Explore emerging technologies and recommend improvements to platform and infrastructure capabilities Support Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban practices Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology field 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production Kubernetes clusters Strong expertise in Kubernetes internals including workload scheduling, RBAC, network policies, Helm, Kustomize, Operators, and autoscaling Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms such as EKS, AKS, or GKE Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools including Terraform and Ansible Experience with Docker and container image management Experience building and supporting self-service developer platforms 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Knowledge of networking, IAM, and cloud cost optimization Strong experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch, and distributed tracing Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and collaborative environments Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience developing microservices using Java and Spring Boot Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architecture patterns Experience containerizing and deploying Java applications on Kubernetes Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, unit testing, and static code analysis Experience with Apache Kafka including topic design, consumer groups, schema evolution, and stream processing Familiarity with Kafka deployment and operations on Kubernetes using Strimzi or Confluent Platform Exposure to stream processing frameworks such as Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming
