Job Description

Job Summary The Cloud Engineer will support trading platform applications by contributing to modernization initiatives and enhancing the stability, resiliency, and performance of critical brokerage systems. This role involves developing cloud-native and on-premise solutions, working closely with development teams to build scalable APIs, event-driven applications, and cloud services. The engineer will play a key part in improving legacy applications and integrating modern cloud technologies into the platform. Key Responsibilities Support trading platform applications through software engineering and cloud development. Participate in modernization efforts to upgrade legacy applications. Work closely with the Squad Lead and engineering teams to uphold platform stability, resiliency, and performance. Develop REST APIs using NodeJS and Java. Design and develop event-driven applications using Kafka. Perform database development using Oracle PL/SQL. Publish APIs using API Gateway tools such as Apigee or Stratum. Utilize production support tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or Kibana for monitoring and troubleshooting. Develop cloud-native applications on AWS using services like Lambda, Step Functions, EKS, S3, and DynamoDB. Work with DevOps CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Jenkins Core, uDeploy, Concourse, and Terraform. Apply Test Driven Development practices for high-quality delivery. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. 3+ years of hands-on software or cloud development and engineering experience. 3+ years of experience working with complex architectural designs and technology initiatives. 3+ years of experience in Test Driven Development (TDD). Experience developing REST APIs using NodeJS and Java. Experience developing event-driven applications using Kafka. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL for database development. Experience publishing APIs with API Gateway technologies such as Apigee or Stratum. Experience with production support and monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Kibana). Experience building applications on AWS, including Lambda, EKS, Step Functions, S3, and DynamoDB. Experience working with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Jenkins Core, uDeploy, Concourse, and Terraform.
