Job Description:
Cloud Administrator Ashburn, VA Support mission-critical cloud infrastructure operations for the Department of Homeland Security by ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable environments in high-responsibility settings. Before You Apply This is a full-time W-2 position with Allyon. As a Cloud Administrator supporting the Department of Homeland Security, you ensure cloud environments are reliable, efficient, and built to support mission-critical operations. What You Will Do You will support cloud infrastructure and operations by: Managing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Designing, deploying, and supporting scalable and secure cloud infrastructure and services Provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting cloud resources to ensure availability and performance Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates Supporting containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools Monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for optimization and cost efficiency Applying cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security, and access controls Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support cloud-based applications and services Resolving issues and maintaining system reliability in a complex enterprise environment Required Qualifications Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience 6 or more years of relevant experience in cloud administration or related roles Strong understanding of public cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, VPNs, firewalls, and security tools Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, DNS, load balancers, and security groups Ability to script in languages such as Python, Bash, Visual Basic, or PowerShell Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams Preferred Qualifications Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Architect Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Datadog Experience with cost optimization strategies in cloud environments Advanced experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code implementation What's In It for You At Allyon, your compensation goes beyond salary.
