GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer (SME) to support modernization efforts. This position will be located in Hampton, Va on Joint Base Langley-Eustis and will be a fully onsite position. Responsibilities We are looking for a Systems Engineer (SME) to help build out and maintain our rapidly expanding infrastructure and assist with the enterprise modernization. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. This position is located at Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Virginia. Key Responsibilities Collaborating with customer, vendors, management and internal information technology (IT) team through the modernization of the enterprise systems. Developing control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization's quality standards Engaging in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational Train team on data security, troubleshooting processes and related skills Create, install and support enterprise systems Work with PMO to determine their computing and technology needs Work with Portfolio Managers to manage projects and meet deliverables according to a set timeline Technical proficiency, Strong understanding of various technologies, programming languages, and tools required for system development. Communication skills, Clear and effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and clients to ensure system requirements are met.
