Aqua IT has an opening for an experienced System Engineer with Linux system administration experience to support cloud and on-premise systems with a mission operations team. The team is involved in operation and sustainment of a mission-critical geospatial solution supporting DoW end users. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of mission critical cloud and on-premise systems.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will involve taking a leadership role in system changes and improvements; Working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot issues; Proactively recommend configuration changes to help improve system performance; Regularly work with government and contractor POCs to keep systems security compliant; and Author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs. Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; OR additional years of experience in lieu of degree Must currently possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain & maintain a Polygraph post hire Must meet
