Job Requirements Suffolk, VA Top Secret/SCI Polygraph Unspecified Mid Level Career (5+ yrs experience) Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Description Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Scaled Agile SME to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will support the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT) by coordinating, delivering, and optimizing technology solutions within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. This role focuses on execution, integration, and team leadership rather than pure architecture ownership. The ideal candidate brings strong Agile program delivery experience, technical understanding of DevSecOps ecosystems, and the ability to work across teams to ensure successful, timely delivery of mission-critical capabilities. This role is 100% onsite. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: Agile Program Execution (SAFe Focus):
  • Operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, supporting Program Increment (PI) planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners, and Scrum teams to ensure alignment with mission priorities.
  • Track progress, dependencies, and risks across multiple teams and workstreams.
Solution Delivery & Integration:
  • Support the implementation and integration of technical solutions aligned to mission needs.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to translate designs into executable work.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with scope, schedule, and performance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, leadership, and mission stakeholders.
  • Communicate status, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
DevSecOps & CI/CD Support:
  • Contribute to the advancement and sustainment of DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
  • Promote automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery best practices.
Project Coordination & Team Leadership:
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across development, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Help manage schedules, priorities, and resource coordination in an Agile environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members as needed.
Risk & Compliance Management:
  • Identify and track risks, issues, and dependencies; support mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure solutions align with security, scalability, and performance requirements, particularly within DoD environments.
Analysis & Documentation:
  • Support requirements analysis, backlog refinement, and user story development.
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and delivered solutions.

Requirements Clearance:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance Certifications (IAT Level II - one required):

CCNA-Security Preferred Certifications:
  • SAFe certification (e.
g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner, or equivalent)
Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of system architectures and distributed systems (working knowledge, not ownership)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
  • Experience with APIs, integration patterns, and modern application environments
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and network fundamentals
Agile & Project Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments
  • Strong coordination, planning, and backlog management skills
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, and cross-team delivery
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams
  • Leadership and facilitation skills Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years (Master's) or 10+ years (Bachelor's) of relevant experience in IT delivery, systems implementation, or program support
  • Experience supporting DoD systems or programs (5+ years required)
