POSITION PURPOSE
The Technical Manager, Infrastructure & Architecture is a key member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders for the delivery of all server and storage services that enable key business operations and critical business applications across the enterprise. This position requires expertise in areas of transforming the infrastructure and architecture function including server and storage provisioning, software installation and configuration, and operations including data centers, server administration and disaster recovery, while specifically ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all systems and infrastructure.IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience 18+ years of Infrastructure Engineering/Architecture experience 12+ years in IT support 10+ years in server and storage support is a plus Hands-on experience in the configuration of server and storage products and other related platforms in a global enterprise. Experience with server and storage provisioning, software installation and configuration, and operations including data centers, server administration and disaster recovery. Strong experience in a broad range of infrastructure tasks including planning, design, test, integration, and deployment. Must have an excellent knowledge of all aspects of IT infrastructure. Advanced knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies Experience with infrastructure management tools. Extensive hands-on experience with virtualization platforms: e.g., VMWare, Citrix Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft servers, Active Directory Advanced experience with cloud-based services: Office 365, SSO, AWS or Azure Advanced experience with networking, cloud, server, storage, and client technologies: (e.g., SAN, VSAN, IaaS, automation, backup, business continuity, disaster recovery, ITSMS, VoIP, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, clients, mobile, video, VDI and SBC) Skills Must be a strong & visible leader, highly flexible, results-oriented with the ability to provide insight and support on complex business and technical issues. Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills Strong sense of self, ethics and effort, as well as the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university or Associate Degree or technical diploma in Information Systems or other related field is desirable.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As a leader and technical specialist, this role is responsible to proactively lead multiple technology initiatives with critical focus on managing, people, scope, schedules, resources, investments, and risks. Responsible for installation, configuration & maintenance of the company's multi-server, multi-site environment, including hardware and operating system; proactively monitors and performs configuration changes to improve performance, security, and availability; Performs configuration and tuning of system monitoring tools to proactively identify and escalate system issues; support production systems including analyzing and resolving production problems and end user service requests. Provide a high-level of customer service across the organization with a primary focus on systems availability, performance, reliability, security, and established service level metrics. Identifies changes and trends in digital technologies and communicates their benefits and impacts to business leadership and senior management. Collaborates with the IT leadership team to define the long-term organization-wide infrastructure capabilities needed and develops and implements the overall strategy and roadmap to ensure optimal technology operations and return on investment with a high priority on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and operation of the organization's computer systems and networks, ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and associated hardware and software. Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software, monitor server performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime. Install, configure, and update operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux). Apply security patches and updates in a timely manner. Perform application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications. Implement and manage data backup and recovery processes. Test and validate backup systems to ensure data integrity. Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data and conduct security audits and address vulnerabilities. Ensure software licensing compliance. Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with IT teams, including developers, network engineers, and support staff. Monitor system resource usage and plan for future capacity needs. Design, implement, and maintain the organization's information systems and IT infrastructure. Provide an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Understand user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Work closely with developers and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions. Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements.SCOPE & EXPECTATIONS
