Job Description
DescriptionDo you enjoy helping U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve unique technical problems? Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies and become a core part of the largest cloud infrastructure on the planet? AWS is seeking a ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADCs). We are looking for Engineers to work as a team that will deploy AWS Systems Manager (SSM) services to air-gapped regions and support government customers operating in those regions. You'll be part of a truly innovative team in a fast-paced environment that has the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing. This position requires that the candidate selected must be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. Key job responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
- Developing monitoring solutions
- Performing software maintenance and configuration
- Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, Python)
- Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges Responsibilities also include:

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or abovePreferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
