Job Description About the Role We are seeking a Senior Azure Messaging Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise messaging solutions built on Azure Service Bus Premium. This role will focus on building highly available and resilient messaging platforms capable of supporting mission-critical business applications across multiple Azure regions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure Service Bus, geo-replication, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, and infrastructure automation. This individual will be expected to independently own solutions from architecture and design through implementation, production deployment, operational readiness, and support handoff. - Design, implement, and support enterprise messaging solutions utilizing Azure Service Bus Premium.
- Architect and maintain highly available messaging services across multiple Azure regions.
- Implement and support Geo-Replication, failover, and failback strategies for business-critical messaging workloads.
- Design messaging solutions leveraging: o Queues o Topics o Subscriptions o Sessions and message ordering o Duplicate detection and handling o Retry patterns o Idempotent message processing o Dead Letter Queue (DLQ) management and replay strategies
- Develop architecture standards and best practices for reliability, scalability, and resiliency.
- Partner with cloud, platform, integration, and middleware teams to support enterprise messaging initiatives. High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Design and support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for Azure messaging services.
- Define and implement messaging architectures that meet business-defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) while minimizing message loss during outage scenarios.
- Develop and maintain DR runbooks and operational recovery procedures.
- Lead disaster recovery testing, failover and failback exercises.
- Document findings, lessons learned, and remediation activities following DR validation exercises.
- Identify and address resiliency gaps within existing messaging platforms. Infrastructure Automation
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Enhance and support reusable infrastructure modules and deployment patterns.
- Build automation solutions using: o Python o PowerShell o Azure CLI
- Improve platform reliability and operational efficiency through automation. Production Support & Monitoring
- Provide L3 production support for mission-critical messaging applications and services.
- Troubleshoot complex messaging, integration, and platform issues within Azure environments.
- Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Support operational readiness, documentation, knowledge transfer, and platform governance initiatives.

- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Service Bus Premium.
- Proven experience implementing: o Geo-Replication o High Availability (HA) o Disaster Recovery (DR) o Regional Failover and Failback Architectures
- Strong understanding of messaging systems and distributed application architectures.
- Experience designing solutions to meet defined RTO and RPO objectives.
- Hands-on experience with: o Queues o Topics o Subscriptions o Dead Letter Queues (DLQs) o Replay strategies o Duplicate detection o Session-based messaging o Message ordering o Retry patterns o Idempotent message processing
- Advanced Terraform experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, and/or Azure CLI.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production environments and L3 escalation support.
- Ability to independently own architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational handoff.
