JOB OVERVIEW AND COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Capella Technical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a passionate Security Specialist II with a focus on Alarms and Locks to help ensure security and intelligence compliance with policies and regulations, drawing on some of the nation's leading personnel and cybersecurity thought leaders for enhancing, accelerating, and assuring the United States Navy's ability to counter existing and emerging security threats. This is a full-time, on-site role at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division in Port Hueneme, CA. for a Security Specialist II with a focus on Alarms and Locks. Candidate must have Physical Security experience (building facilities, DoD Federal compliance inspections, build/contribute to test plans and SOPs, manage classified assets & transport, and be able to change safe locks and troubleshoot access control mechanisms. This position handles the support of the Sensitive Compartment Information Facility.This role includes:
Demonstrated experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) within the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community (IC), showcasing a strong understanding of the intricate interplay between safeguarding personnel, facilities, and sensitive information in a highly regulated environment. Proficiency in managing and implementing alarm and access control systems, ensuring that robust security measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access and respond effectively to potential security breaches. Experience in overseeing and mentoring junior security personnel, providing guidance and support in their professional development, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere, and ensuring that all security protocols and procedures are adhered to with the utmost diligence.REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum SECRET security clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a
TOP SECRET
w/ SCI is required to be considered for this position. Preferred candidate would already hold an activeTOP SECRET
clearance.- Four (4) years of experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) in the DoD or Intelligence Community (IC).
- Experience with alarm and access control systems.
- If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, eight (8) years of professional technical activities related to security would be considered equivalent.
- Four (4) of these eight (8) years should demonstrate experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) in the DoD or IC.
- Experience working in the technology or defense sector is an advantage.

- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college/university
