The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.Position Summary/Details:
This position will be assigned to a team within our IT Security Department, which includes our Cyber Fusion Center, Governance & Risk Team, and Identity & Access Management Team at our Ybor Data Center.Accountabilities:
- Provide daily monitoring of IT Security tools and applications. Complete daily monitoring checklist.
- Complete root cause analysis (RCAs) documentation and assist with investigations as needed.
- Assist with the documentation of key cyber security performance and threat/risk metrics
- Collect and present computer/network-related evidence in support of network vulnerability mitigation
- Assist with server and network review for current vulnerabilities/patching and AV signature aging
- Document and update security processes and desk-level procedures for daily operations.
- Assist on projects as necessary that support the maturity of the IT Security Department.

Education:
- The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate-level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
Co-Op Requirements:
- To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
- A minimum GPA of 3.
