What they do
A Vulnerability Analyst or Penetration Tester probes for and exploits security vulnerabilities in web-based applications, networks and systems. Penetration Tests are designed to achieve a specific, attacker-simulated goal and should be requested by customers who are already at their desired security posture. A typical goal could be to access the contents of the prized customer database on the internal network, or to modify a record in an HR system. Vulnerability Assessments are designed to yield a prioritized list of vulnerabilities and are generally for clients who already understand they are not where they want to be in terms of security. The customer already knows they have issues and simply need help identifying and prioritizing them.

- Execute computer network operions against foreign adversaries' informion systems and networks
- Use advanced software applicions for network navigion, tactical forensic analysis and intelligence collection.
- Research and implement solutions to influence and enhance network offensive posture On the defensive side of the NSA mission, you will:
- Execute red team operions against U.S. Government and Department of War (DoW) agencies to strengthen their systems
- Identify intrusions/vulnerabilities and recommend mitigion stregies/techniques to secure networks
- Identify, analyze and develop defensive measures to thwart advanced, ste-sponsored intrusions of DoW and federal government networks around the world
- Search for Advanced Persistent Thres (APT) and Indicors of Compromise (IOC) using enhanced da collection and analysis methods
- Use advanced software applicions for network navigion, perform tactical forensic analysis and collect valuable network da to identify and characterize adversarial activity
- Maintain operions systems required for missions
- Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity trends, exploition techniques and hardware advancements to engineer innovive exploition solutions

Entry is with a Bachelors degree and no experience. The following may also be considered for individuals with in-depth experience th is clearly reled to the position: an Associes degree plus 2 years of relevant experience; or least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in networking, computer science, or cyber topics plus 2 years of relevant experience; or successful completion of TAO-specific technical fundamentals training plus 2 years of relevant experience.FULL PERFORMANCE
Entry is with a Bachelors degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; a Masters degree plus 1 year of relevant experience; a Doctore degree and no experience. The following may also be considered for individuals with in-depth experience th is clearly reled to the position: an Associes degree plus 5 years of relevant experience; or least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in networking, computer science, or cyber topics plus 5 years of relevant experience; or successful completion of TAO Apprentice Operor certificion plus 3 years of relevant experience. Educion The qualificions listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Informion Technology, Computer Science, Mhemics, Da Science, or reled field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Informion Assurance, or Computer Security). Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: computer or informion systems design/development, programming, informion/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetrion testing, computer forensics, informion assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administrion. Completion of military training in a relevant area such as JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis course), Undergradue Cyber Training (UCT), Network Warfare Bridge Course (NWBC)/Intermedie Network Warfare Training (INWT), Cyber Defense Operions considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., 20-24 weeks course will count as 6 months of experience, 10-14 weeks will count as 3 months of experience). Salary offers are based on candides' educion level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account informion provided by the hiring manager/organizion regarding the work level for the position.Salary Range:
