GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Join our Security Operations Center team and play a critical role in protecting people, property, and business operations. In this role, you'll identify potential threats, coordinate emergency responses, and provide real-time support to clients and field personnel using advanced video surveillance, access control, and alarm monitoring technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with dispatch, emergency communications, security monitoring, military, or customer service experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment where every decision matters.
HOURS:
Monday & Tuesday 10 pm - 6 am, Saturday & Sunday 6 pm - 6 am
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Monitor a variety of alarm signals and respond to those alarms following pre-defined standard operating procedures to dispatch the proper authorities and notify the appropriate people. Monitor video surveillance cameras to determine if any threats exist and assist responding staff by providing real-time information. Thoroughly document any incidents and provide detailed reports of actions taken. The individual in this role should possess the ability to remain calm and speak clearly to customers. Provide timely, efficient, and professional service to all clients to ensure client satisfaction. Answer incoming lines in a calm and clear manner, possessing excellent customer service and telephone skills. Attend to other matters and duties assigned by the Security Operations Manager or other executive staff of Tech Systems.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position under Company policy. Employees in this role perform duties where impaired performance could result in a significant risk of harm to themselves, coworkers, clients, or the public. This position is subject to the Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, including drug and alcohol testing, as permitted by applicable law.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A. EDUCATION
High School Diploma Associates degree preferred but not required.
B. EXPERIENCE
Six months experience in a Security Operation Center or 911 dispatch center. Some law enforcement or security background is a plus.
C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & COMPETENCY
Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to, in-depth knowledge of Microsoft based products (such as MS Word, Excel, MS Office Suite, and Outlook) and the Internet. Excellent customer service skills, including a sense of urgency when attending to customer needs. Strong listening skills and attention to detail. Ability to work accurately and efficiently. Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities. Must be able to work in a fast paced, mission-critical environment. Ability to make rapid decisions regarding potential security threats or risk situations. Excellent communication skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Strong time management skills, including ability to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with Tech Systems' staff, vendors, and customers. Demonstrates a commitment to safe work practices by complying with all Company safety policies and procedures and performing work in a manner that protects employees, customers, and the public.

Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.
E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Job duties are performed in an office setting. The job does require intermittent physical activity, including, but not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, and light lifting.
