New Jersey Hybrid:
3 days/week onsite Our direct client is looking for a Senior Backup Engineer to design, engineer, automate, and continuously improve enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resiliency solutions across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments .
What You'll Do:
Design and engineer enterprise backup & recovery platforms Develop backup infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code Automate deployments and operations using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and REST APIs Support backup and recovery across AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and on-prem Lead recovery validation, restore testing, and cyber recovery exercises Develop reusable engineering patterns and integrate automation with GitHub/CI/CD Partner with Cyber Security and infrastructure teams on ransomware recovery and resiliency
What We're Looking For:
8+ years of enterprise backup engineering experience Strong experience with one or more: Cohesity, Dell PowerProtect, Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup Strong Terraform and automation experience Advanced Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting Experience with AWS/Azure and hybrid infrastructure Strong understanding of RTO/RPO, recovery testing, and cyber resiliency Experience in large-scale or highly regulated enterprise environments Interested?
