This position combines security operations, risk management, and technology systems, ensuring that university resources remain secure, resilient, and compliant with evolving standards. Effective 7/1/2026, this position will report through the Information Technology Services department in Beyond Blue. What You'll Do Monitor and respond to security events, incidents, and vulnerabilities Support implementation and maintenance of security controls and tools Conduct assessments to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks Collaborate with IT teams to strengthen system security and incident response processes Analyze and report on threats, trends, and security posture improvements Assist with compliance efforts related to policies, standards, and regulations What You'll Bring Experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT systems support Knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or IT What's In It for You Meaningful impact: Help protect systems that support teaching, research, and operations Technical growth: Build expertise in cybersecurity tools and practices Hybrid flexibility: Opportunity for flexible work arrangements with approval Collaborative environment: Work with IT and security professionals across campus
