Senior Information Security Analyst

United States, Maryland, Patuxent River Jul 28, 2026 Tharros is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Cyber Warfare Department. The analyst will lead assigned cybersecurity, Information Assurance, RMF, vulnerability assessment, and cyber risk mitigation activities for Navy networks, systems, data, and mission infrastructure. The Senior Information Security Analyst will coordinate team tasking, track technical progress, support project planning, and help align cybersecurity execution with Government mission priorities. The role requires senior-level judgment, RMF depth, and the ability to lead analysts supporting DoD or other Government Agency platforms, weapons systems, or IT infrastructure environments. Lead planning, implementation, upgrade, and monitoring of security measures for computer networks and information systems. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and direct development of mitigation strategies. Oversee implementation of security controls that protect digital files and electronic infrastructure. Lead Information Assurance and Cyber Security activities across assigned task areas. Lead RMF activities, including control assessment, package development, artifact review, POA&M support, and authorization documentation. Coordinate and oversee the tasking of team members performing Information Security Analyst functions. Track project progress, resolve execution issues, and supportplanning forprojects, resources, and cyber events. Review vulnerability data, security documentation, risk assessments, andauthorizationartifacts for technical quality. Support or oversee cyber forensic analysis in response to cyber threats in hardware and software environments. Coordinate with Government technical personnel, program leadership, and contractor team members on cyber risk and authorization matters. Mentor Basic and Intermediateanalysts andhelpmaintainteam compliance with DCWF and contract qualification requirements. Active TS, SCI Eligible 10+ years of experience as an Information Assurance professional 5+ of those years in a DoW or other government agency platform Ability to lead functional task execution, coordinate team members, track project progress, and support project planning and resourcing.
