Job Description
Cyber Security Specialist / Spillman Administrator- Information Technology Office Hancock County Government is seeking Full-Time Cyber Security Specialist / Spillman Administrator to fill a vacancy in the Information Technology Office. This is a full-time Exempt position, 40 hours per week and benefits eligible located in Ellsworth, Maine. The primary purpose of this position is to handle Cyber Security and Spillman Administration but by no means are limited to those two functions. This role will also provide service to incoming calls that are related to printer, laptop, desktop, phone requests related to password resets, new hire systems support and preparation and support the IT Director to focus on projects impacting longer term needs of the organization.
Supervision Received:
The work performed will be performed through the direction of the IT Director.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be available 24/7 on call to assist with any IT issue that could arise at any time. This requires having a cell phone available at all times to be reached for service needs.
- Be able to assist the Hancock County Bar Harbor Airport as the Cyber Security Coordinator, who coordinates with the Airport Staff and the TSA officials if a security breach is found.
- Be able to implement the incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery and audit programs.
- Prepare and coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity meetings.
- Validate business resiliency and efficiency of the plans.
- Assess, manage, document and coordinate information and cyber vulnerabilities throughout the organization to ensure proper remediation.
- Spillman duties: Upon certification & training, the position will require the coordination and management of projects for Police and Fire departments; data management; new Spillman system installations, third party software interfaces to Spillman, and software updates.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED
- Cyber security education degree or experience. Security certification a plus (CISSP, SSCP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC).
- Completion of a minimum of two years of college level coursework in computer science, information technology or similar experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Preferably become Spillman SAA certified within one year of employment.
