YOUR ROLEElectrical Distribution Systems (EDS) is a global leader in the automotive manufacturing space, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of wiring harnesses, high-voltage cabling, and electric vehicle (EV) chargers. As the Senior Manager of Cybersecurity engineering, you will be the primary architect and defender of our digital infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and information security, requiring a proactive mindset to design, implement, and monitor robust security solutions that protect our data, networks and systems from evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Architecture & DesignPlan, design, and implement security measures and controls for optimal organization cybersecurity and IoT/OT securityDevelop and execute operational strategies to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats in real timeDrive automation utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for workflow automations and executionsThreat Intelligence & ResponseOversee threat intelligence programs to proactively identify and mitigate emerging risksCoordinate and lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysisMonitoring & AnalyticsDesign, implement and optimize SIEM, SOAR, and other monitoring tools to ensure comprehensive visibility across IT and OT environmentsDrive automation and analytics to improve detection accuracy and reduce response timesOperational ResilienceCollaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure configurations and timely patchingLead tabletop exercises and simulations to test incident response readinessGovernance & ComplianceEnsure operations align with regulatory and internal compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, TISAX, GDPR)Support audit and reporting activities related to security operationsVendor & MSP OversightManage relationships with MSSPs and other third-party security providersDefine and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and ensure accountability in service deliveryManage external penetration testing vendors and ensure timely execution of assessments and remediation trackingTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor a global team of Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts, incident responders, and threat huntersFoster a high-performance culture focused on agility, collaboration, and continuous learningBudget & Resource ManagementAssist in budgeting and resource planning for cybersecurity operationsRecommend investments in tools, services, and training to enhance operational effectivenessYOUR BACKGROUNDQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least two years in a leadership roleProven experience managing SOCs, incident response teams, and threat intelligence programsStrong technical knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security technologiesDeep understanding in TCP/IP, DNS, Networking, AWS, Azure or GCP environmentsAdvanced proficiency in server, SIEM and Vulnerability management toolsExperience in both IT and OT environments preferredFamiliarity with industry frameworks (e.g., MITREATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001
)Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, CISM) are highly desirableAbility to work onsite in Troy, MIMust be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the futureKey Competencies:
