THE WORK
As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer, you'll become an integral part of our Syracuse, NY System Security Team, directly supporting international and domestic programs. In this role you will be responsible for: Developing solutions to protect sensitive information and systems. Leading technical planning, verification, evaluation, and analysis of critical program information, cost, and risk. Supporting capture efforts and future capabilities to stay ahead of emerging threats. Coordinating and executing test events both internally and externally. Engaging with both internal and external customers and auditors to address technical concerns and resolve issues. Communicating effectively with program personnel, executives, and government officials. Developing and coordinating test strategies, plans, procedures, and reports across programs to ensure thorough validation and program success. Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience. Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP) Ability to obtain an Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship. At least 1 year of relevant experience
Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree in related field Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration experience ACAS scanning Trellix and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) administration and monitoring SolarWinds tools experience Linux/Red Hat or Windows OS certifications Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy maintenance Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) Troubleshooting as a systems administrator Good organizational and coordination skills Strong communication skills and ability to support and collaborate with a team Critical thinking skills to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $82,900 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
