Job Description

The People Technology and Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the technology lifecycle of all users across our K-12 school environment, including faculty, staff, auxiliary employees, students, and parents. This role manages user account lifecycles, identity and access management (IAM), credentials, ID badges, and school-issued devices such as laptops, tablets, and desk phones. Additionally, this position oversees the Help Desk and IT Support ticketing system in Jira Service Management. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong technical expertise and experience working in a complex school environment. We are seeking a customer service-oriented professional dedicated to providing top-tier support to our diverse community. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with people of all ages and technical backgrounds, ranging from PreK-3 students to our most seasoned faculty. To thrive in this position, you must be a patient, empathic, and enthusiastic individual who genuinely enjoys helping others navigate technology. Because safeguarding our community is a top priority, this position also carries significant cybersecurity responsibilities. Proper management of identities, access controls, and credentials serves as the frontline of our defense. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and advancing the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the school's information systems, ensuring that rigorous security practices are upheld seamlessly throughout the user lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage the complete user technology lifecycle for all stakeholders, including faculty, staff, auxiliary employees, students, and parents. Lead identity and access management (IAM) functions, including provisioning/deprovisioning, role-based access controls (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO) configurations. Oversee the issuance, maintenance, and management of user credentials and physical ID badges. Deploy, track, and manage school-issued devices, including laptops, tablets, and desk phones. Oversee the Help Desk and IT Support ticketing system in Jira Service Management to ensure efficient and effective technical support operations. Collaborate with all departments and divisions to support safe and secure use of digital tools, ensuring user awareness and compliance.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform essential functions independently with minimal supervision. Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) IdP administration. Deep understanding of Apple School Manager. Jamf Pro for Apple device management. Zoom Phone management. School Information Systems (Veracross strongly preferred). Genetec Security Center access control and security video systems. Splan Visitor Management. Jira Service Management. Evidence of a growth mindset
Education:
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience:
3+ years in a similar role or related role Cybersecurity Certifications (ISC CC at minimum)
Preferred Experience:
5+ years in a similar role or related role
