Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Vulnerability Response Specialist, Senior to join our cybersecurity team, focusing on identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities within cloud-based environments. This role will involve monitoring cloud systems for security breaches, responding to incidents, and conducting thorough security assessments to safeguard cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud infrastructure and security tools, apply critical thinking to identify security gaps, and develop and implement security protocols and risk management improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, and mitigate vulnerabilities in cloud-based systems, applying advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure security. Monitor cloud environments for security breaches and respond effectively to security incidents, minimizing potential impacts. Conduct security assessments of cloud systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions to improve security posture. Develop, implement, and update security protocols and procedures for cloud-based environments, ensuring robust defense against potential threats. Apply critical thinking to perform gap analysis and identify areas for improvement in existing cloud security controls and risk management processes. Develop and implement comprehensive risk management-related programs to enhance the overall security of cloud assets. Utilize and optimize cloud security tools to detect, prevent, and respond to security threats, while continuously improving monitoring and response capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures align with business objectives and industry best practices. Provide expert guidance on cloud security policies, procedures, and standards to internal stakeholders, ensuring consistent application across the organization. Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to proactively adapt security measures and improve defense mechanisms.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security and vulnerability management. In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Guard Duty, Prisma Cloud). Proven experience in security incident response, risk management, and vulnerability mitigation in cloud environments. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct gap analysis and develop actionable plans to address security weaknesses. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security -
Specialty, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP) are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud-native security tools and SIEM solutions for cloud environments. Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
