Posting Number 5814 Definition of Class This position reports to the Director of Information Technology. The Cyber Security Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the computer systems and networks. This includes implementing and maintaining security measures, conducting assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents and breaches. This position will also be responsible for educating employees on best practices for cyber security, developing and implementing policies and procedures to protect sensitive information, and working with cyber insurance providers. Applicants should have a strong skillset in networking and firewall technologies, and be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to these systems. The Cyber Security Administrator will be responsible for managing projects independently and also securing grant opportunities to support the ongoing improvement of the government's cyber security infrastructure. The position is also responsible for monitoring traffic and alerts, and for writing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan. In addition, they will serve as a backup for the network administrator and manage and maintain anti-virus and EDR systems.
