The Opportunity:
Our client, a dynamic organization in the security and investigations industry, specializes in delivering comprehensive electronic security solutions for diverse environments such as commercial, retail, education, government, stadiums, and healthcare. This Assistant Project Manager role offers the opportunity to support complex projects from inception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality security installations. You will help drive the installation, integration, and maintenance of advanced systems while gaining valuable exposure in a rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in overseeing installation, integration, and maintenance of electronic security systems including access control, surveillance, CCTV/IP video, and intrusion detection. Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery. Act as the secondary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. Support documentation and compliance processes as projects transition from design to handover. Help coordinate site surveys, equipment procurement, and installation schedules. Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges or delays. Assist in quality assurance reviews and ensure adherence to technical specifications and industry standards. Facilitate communication to maintain alignment across stakeholders and teams.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience in electronic security systems including access control, CCTV/IP video, and intrusion detection. Strong project coordination or project management skills, preferably in commercial, retail, or institutional settings. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple project tasks and prioritize effectively. Basic understanding of security technology specifications and installation practices.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with integrated security platforms and software. Exposure to projects in education, government, stadium/arena, or healthcare environments. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards. Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design/project management tools. Relevant certifications in security or project management (e.g., PMP, NICET).
