Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our innovative IT security team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures across our enterprise infrastructure. Your expertise will help safeguard sensitive data, ensure compliance with industry standards, and enhance our overall security posture. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies aligned with NIST standards and
ISO 27000
series frameworks to ensure system integrity and confidentiality. Conduct vulnerability assessments, vulnerability research, and penetration testing to identify potential threats within IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SAN, and cloud environments such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Manage and optimize network security devices such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and SIEM solutions like Splunk or New Relic for threat detection & response. Configure and maintain network infrastructure components including routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), Cisco routers, switches, Cisco ISE for identity & access management, DHCP, DNS, and load balancing solutions. Lead incident response efforts by analyzing logs through log analysis tools, performing system security plans development, incident recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning. Implement system hardening techniques on operating systems like Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, openSUSE), macOS, Solaris, and BSD to reduce attack surfaces. Collaborate with cross-functional teams using DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines with Ansible, Terraform for cloud architecture deployment while adhering to FISMA and FedRAMP compliance standards. Skills Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, IPsec VPNs, Ethernet switching, VLANs, QoS policies, and network architecture design. CMMC Level 1 certification is Mandatory Proficiency in cybersecurity tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk), network monitoring (PRTG), threat intelligence platforms, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Strong understanding of information security principles including encryption (SSL/TLS), PKI management, system security plans (SSPs), GPO configuration, RBAC policies, and SSO implementations. Hands-on experience with system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions like Ubuntu or CentOS. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure; knowledge of cloud infrastructure security best practices including PaaS/IaaS models. Ability to perform vulnerability management activities including vulnerability assessment & research using attack frameworks; familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS and FIPS. Skills in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks; experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform for infrastructure as code deployment. Strong analytical skills in threat detection & response; capability to perform computer forensics and incident management effectively within an Agile environment.
