JOB TITLE
TechLead Cybersecurity Engineer
LOCATION

DUTIES:
Deliver cybersecurity solutions that protect Southwest Airlines. Work in a focused group adhering to Agile principles. Create and refresh solutions that happen in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and utilize a maturing common platform. Expect a mix of enterprise integration and platform development. Provide security guidance to application and partner teams to remediate security vulnerabilities, risk items, and policy exceptions. Deliver training for clients in use of the key cybersecurity systems and automated environments. Identify cybersecurity problems, plan solutions, recommend software and systems, and coordinate developments in an orderly manner to meet business requirements. Act as an agent for change to reflect the latest cybersecurity standards and practices. Serve as an enterprise subject matter expert (SME) and advocate of IT Security standards and reference architectures. Act as a mentor to both Co-Hearts or respond to production program issues and coach on resolutions in Cybersecurity and Partner Teams. Lead testing and implement system enhancements using techniques that preserve system integrity and drive a results-oriented environment. Develop, test and operate end-to-end software solutions using machine learning, related optimization, and knowledge systems. Evaluate systems to ensure they are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or as an Engineer, Senior Engineer, or in a related/similar position.
Experience therein to include:
5 years in the following: working in Cybersecurity Identity and Access Management; developing, implementing or integrating identity based security into the enterprise; using existing elements in value pipeline, including: PingFederate, eDirectory, Active Directory, CyberArk, and Micro Focus IDM; cloud computing with expertise in designing and deploying secure, scalable solutions using AWS services such as EC2 for compute, S3 for storage, IAM for identity management, Lambda for serverless applications, and CloudFormation for automation; Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development using Terraform and/or CloudFormation or similar; using credential management tools and solutions like AWS Secrets Manager, CyberArk and/or Hashicorp Vault; creating parameterized build jobs via GitLab and/or Jenkins for Continuous Integration of Security and environmental variables; applying architectural principles, design patterns and methodologies to design and implement systems for large-scale enterprises serving thousands of internal and external users; mentoring and guiding technical resources with a focus on growth of the technical bench.
