GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Tech Systems is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Project Manager to oversee access control, video surveillance, and integrated security system installation projects. Candidates must have prior experience managing electronic security deployments and working with ACS/video systems.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Works with the Account Management Team during the Booking Review Process to ensure that the bill of materials accurately reflects the equipment needed to fulfill the scope of work. Manages and directs the work of Tech Systems' subcontract labor to ensure completion of installation projects, including verification that job site is ready for commencement of project and that subcontractors maintain appropriate schedule and perform work properly. Manages installation projects in accordance with Tech Systems' installation standards and work instructions, ensuring all are completed on time and in accordance with budget and scope. Assists Account Managers in developing functional proposals for installation projects. Verifies programming of systems installed by Tech Systems, including remedying any programming issues before customer acceptance. Plans and organizes acceptance of installation project by customer, ensuring system functionality and customer satisfaction. Assists with other technical support issues, as needed, including occasional response to service calls when necessary. Attends to other matters and duties necessitated by operations in his/her area and/or assigned by Manager of Regional Services or executive staff of Tech Systems.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position under Company policy. Employees in this role perform duties where impaired performance could result in a significant risk of harm to themselves, coworkers, clients, or the public. This position is subject to the Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, including drug and alcohol testing, as permitted by applicable law.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A. EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent. CSPM Certification required within one (1) year of role.
B. EXPERIENCE
Must have at least three (3) years prior work experience in security systems installation or related field. Must have ACS/video system programming experience.
C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & COMPETENCY
Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to, working knowledge of Microsoft based products (such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook), Smartsheet and IT skillset with understanding of best practices when it comes to IP systems. Knowledge of Tech Systems' accounting software. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills, including a sense of urgency when attending to customer needs. Strong time management skills, including ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently. Excellent communication skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to manage and interact effectively and in a supportive manner with Tech Systems' staff, vendors, and customers and ability to work with and build teams of employees. Observance of all safety regulations, rules, and ability to work in a safe and cautious manner. Demonstrates a commitment to safe work practices by complying with all Company safety policies and procedures and performing work in a manner that protects employees, customers, and the public.
D. DRIVER'S LICENSE
Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record, satisfactory to Tech Systems' automobile insurance carrier.
E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Job duties are performed at client sites. The job does require regular physical activity, including, but not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting objects weighing more than 50 pounds, and using hands to manipulate, install, or disassemble objects. Job duties may involve exposure to some hazards, such as electricity, electrical wiring, and other similar conditions. The job requires driving and other travel.
