Job Description

This full-time faculty member and program director is responsible for instructing undergraduate online courses in Cybersecurity,proposing and enacting program changes to maintain relevance in evolving Cybersecurity discipline, maintaining an active program ofscholarly achievement and professional accomplishment, providing department and university service, and engaging in professionaldevelopment. Job Duties 1. Teaches courses equivalent to 12 contact hours per semester in accordance with relevant academicpolicies. 2. Provides service through committee work, academic advising, and other duties as assigned (e.g., curriculum development,outcomes assessment, recruitment, retention, program review, etc.) 3. Maintains an active program of scholarly achievement andprofessional accomplishment. 4. Engages in continued professional development. 5. Provides feedback and grades to students ina timely fashion. 6. Participates in department and faculty-wide meetings. 7. Attends Faculty Development Activities andEvents as required by the VPAAs office 8. Attends Fall Convocation and University Commencement Exercises 9. Other duties andresponsibilities as assigned by the department head or dean. Required Qualifications 1. A minimum of 1-yr full-timecollegiate-level teaching experience in cybersecurity is required. 2. A minimum of an earned Master's degree in Cybersecurity orComputer Science is required. 3. Knowledge of operating systems, information security, networks, vulnerability and threat analysis,computer architecture, systems admin with Linux, and programming fundamentals is required. 4. Must be willing to support the mission,vision and core values of McMurry University. 5. Cisco Networking Academy certification for networking 6. Preference will be givento applicants who have documented experience with developing and teaching online courses and programs.
