What they do

A Cyber Crime Analyst or Investigator investigates a number of crimes, ranging from recovering file systems on computers that have been hacked or damaged to investigating crimes against children. Recovers data from computers that can be used in prosecuting crimes in court. Computer crime investigators must also write reports for and testify in court. Also may work for large corporations to test security systems that are currently in place. Investigators do this by trying various ways to hack into the corporation's computer networks. At corporations, computer crime investigators also maximize optimal computer system performance levels.

Job Requirements Alexandria, VA Top Secret/SCI Polygraph not specified Senior Level Career (10+ yrs experience) $145,000 - $155,000 Job Description Insight Global is actively hiring multiple Cyber Intelligence Analyst to join our team supporting a DoW Program at the Mark Center in Alexandria Virginia. The selected candidates will work on a team of analyst responsible for proactive threat-hunting and intelligence-analysis engine within a Security Operations Center. These candidates will leverage all-source threat intelligence, cyber intelligence, advanced analytics, and enterprise telemetry to identify emerging threats and adversary activity. The analyst will conduct proactive threat hunts, correlate intelligence data with security tools and logs, develop detection use cases, and provide actionable recommendations to improve the organization's security posture. This role offers the opportunity to work in a mission-critical environment, brief senior leadership, collaborate with incident response teams, and directly contribute to protecting high-value government networks and operations.
Minimum job requirements include:
Must-Haves:
  • Active TSSCI
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or related field and 8+ years of relevant cybersecurity and Intelligence experience. 4 Additional years can be substituted for candidates with no degree
  • Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification requirements
  • Direct experience with cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident response, cyber defense, or related cyber operations
  • Experience applying MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or similar adversary frameworks
  • Hands-on threat hunting experience, including hypothesis-driven hunts and IOC investigations
  • Experience developing detection logic, analytic queries, and threat-hunting methodologies
  • Strong SIEM, EDR, endpoint, network, NetFlow, packet capture, and log analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of
TCP/IP, OSI
model, networking protocols, enterprise security architecture, and defense-in-depth concepts Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for these roles so exact pay will vary based on candidates level of expertise, depth on knowledge, overall experience, and clearance level. However, we anticipate paying 145K - 155K for these openings as well as providing a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, and 401k Benefits.
