Duties & Responsibilities:
Personnel Security Specific Responsibilities:

The Security Manager will provide policy support and technical guidance for personnel, information, and industrial security. Facilitate development of enterprise procedures to conduct full criminal history checks on staff also known as Childcare Background Checks (CBC) from initiation to adjudication including due process. The Security Manager will assist in the development of a database to track all staff requiring a CBC, annual recertification and 5-year renewal. The Security Manager will submit monthly summary reports of investigations via the monthly program performance summary. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of personnel, information, and industrial security policies within federal or DoD environments. Familiarity with DoD childcare suitability or screening policies. Advanced knowledge of DoD interagency coordination, policy development, and action officer responsibilities. Strong database management and reporting skills. Ability to coordinate meeting minutes, action tracking, and partner engagement documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Minimum/General Experience:

The Security Manager shall possess the ability and have a history of developing security policy and managing compliance programs. The Security Manager shall demonstrate expertise in DoD/OPM suitability adjudication. The Security Manager shall possess experience drafting, reviewing, and revising policies, SOPs, CONOPS, and implementation plans.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Emergency Management, Security Studies, Public Policy, Information Security, or related discipline). Must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience w/ degree. OR in lieu of degree, 10 years of progressively responsible experience. Must have successfully completed a Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) Course within the last 3 years.
