Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
Cyber Security Developer Job Description:
Designs, develops, and implements security controls to preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. Provides security engineering expertise and develops cybersecurity products, mitigates STIGs, development, and integration. Performs refactoring and re-engineering activities to upgrade cybersecurity controls for hardening of systems.
Cyber Security Developer Required Task:
  • Ensure security is implemented during software development.
  • Identify technological and functional risks inherent in system functionality, system exposure, and data sensitivity to determine the required security controls.
  • Recommend and design software security to mitigate weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Tailoring and configuring security controls for specific product use, security assessment plan preparation.
  • Analyze and assess infrastructure for potential vulnerabilities that may result from improper configurations or hardware/software flaws.
  • Prototype new or modified security hardware, operating systems and software applications. Cyber Security Developer
  • Required Skills:
  • Experience using C or Java/C++ in the development of security controls for enterprise information systems.
  • Strong experience at the Linux command line and writing scripts.
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGS and the ability harden applications (e.g., OS, web server, database, etc.) in accordance with the recommended STIG guidance. Cyber Security Developer
  • Highly Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working in an Agile/Sprint release planning environment including depth of understanding of providing impact analysis on testing as Sprint and releases are introduced to the integration environment.
  • Cloud engineering experience is a plus. Cyber Security Developer
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent and two to five years equivalent professional experience.
  • Candidate m ust be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.
S. Citizen with no dual citizenship.
