About the Role The Information Security Associate is an early-career position that supports the Bank s day-to-day information security operations and helps maintain a strong security posture. This role provides an opportunity to develop practical experience across information security operations while building upon foundational knowledge of information security and IT systems. The Information Security Associate works within established security processes and procedures to monitor security activity, troubleshoot issues, support investigations, and complete daily operational responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop a career in Information Security. What You'll Do Monitor security tools, dashboards, and alerts for potential security events. Assist with the administration and maintenance of endpoint protection solutions. Support vulnerability scanning activities, review results, and assist with remediation tracking. Manage, prioritize, and respond to security-related service requests. Support email, web, and internet security operations and related security event investigations. Assist with security event and incident investigations, including analysis, documentation, escalation, and response activities. Maintain security documentation and procedures. Assist with security awareness training and phishing simulations. Complete daily security operations tasks, document exceptions, and provide daily operational updates. Perform other security-related duties and special projects as assigned. What You'll Bring Basic understanding of information security concepts, networking, operating systems, and security technologies. Demonstrated interest in learning new security technologies, tools, and techniques. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions while following established security processes and procedures. Experience, certifications, coursework, or a degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field is a plus. How You'll Succeed Consistently complete assigned security operations activities accurately and timely. Demonstrate sound judgment when analyzing, troubleshooting, documenting, and escalating security-related issues. Maintain strong attention to detail while consistently applying established security practices and procedures. Collaborate effectively with Information Security professionals and the broader IT team. Work Environment This is a full-time, hourly/non-exempt position scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid meal period. This is a fully on-site security position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment with regular use of computers and other technology. Regular collaboration with Information Security professionals and members of the broader IT team.
