Job Description
Software Engineer — Real-Time Data Systems ? Denver, CO ? $118,000 - $149,000 base + equity We're looking for engineers to help build a high-performance data platform that supports real-time monitoring and analysis of complex systems. This environment generates large volumes of high-frequency data that must be captured, processed, and visualized with minimal latency and high reliability. Rather than relying on legacy tooling, the team is developing a modern, flexible platform designed to keep pace with rapidly evolving needs — with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and adaptability. This role is ideal for engineers who want to work on systems where data accuracy, timing, and throughput are critical — and where the software directly supports operational decision-making. Responsibilities Design and develop systems for ingesting, processing, and visualizing high-volume, real-time data Build user-facing tools for both live monitoring and post-event analysis Improve system performance, data integrity, and reliability across the entire pipeline Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine tools based on real-world use Contribute to architecture decisions as the platform grows in scope and scale Develop supporting infrastructure such as monitoring, replay capabilities, and operational tooling Qualifications Professional experience with TypeScript or similar, plus at least one systems-level language (e.g., Go, Rust, C++, or Python) Background working with high-throughput, low-latency, or time-series data systems Familiarity with modern data formats and processing tools (e.g., Parquet, Avro, Protobuf, Arrow, HDF5, or netCDF) Experience working with data analysis libraries or workflows (e.g., NumPy, pandas, or equivalents) Ability to think critically about performance, accuracy, and system design tradeoffs Preferred Attributes Interest in working on software that interfaces with real-world systems or hardware Comfort operating in fast-paced, iterative environments Strong sense of ownership and accountability for production systems Willingness to learn domain-specific concepts and collaborate closely with technical stakeholders Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $118,000 - $149,000 (depending on experience) Equity opportunity Flexible PTO Full benefits package We look forward to reviewing your application. We encourage everyone to apply - even if every box isn't checked for what you are looking for or what is required.
