The ideal candidate should possess strong requirements gathering and analysis skills, with the ability to work closely with business users and stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. The candidate should have experience in data analysis, including source-to-target mapping, data profiling, data validation, and data reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems. The role requires hands-on experience providing support, including troubleshooting ETL/data pipeline failures, managing incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to minimize recurring issues. Strong expertise in performance optimization is essential, including query tuning, pipeline performance improvements, and cloud cost optimization to ensure efficient and reliable data processing. The candidate must demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Application Teams while clearly communicating technical solutions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, experience creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including data flow diagrams, technical specifications, runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and data dictionaries, is required to support governance, knowledge transfer, and operational excellence.
