Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer (Power BI) for a Contract with a client in Livonia, MI. The ideal candidate will Lead the design and optimization of enterprise-scale Power BI semantic models and BigQuery data solutions to deliver high-performance analytics and actionable business insights.

Rate Range:

$55/Hour to $65/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Data Engineer (Power BI) Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports to support business decision-making. Build and optimize complex Google BigQuery SQL queries, data models, and reporting-ready datasets for analytics and reporting needs. Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions. Implement data quality, validation, and governance processes to ensure accurate, secure, and reliable reporting. Optimize Power BI and BigQuery performance using best practices for data modeling, query tuning, incremental refresh, and capacity management. Lead user acceptance testing, report reconciliation, documentation, and ongoing support while driving BI standards and best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of Data Engineering experience and 10+ years of Business Intelligence experience with a strong focus on Power BI and enterprise reporting. Advanced expertise in Power BI semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), data warehousing, and Google BigQuery query optimization. Strong proficiency in
