Job Description

Hello Data Engineer/Teradata/AML:
CLT- Strong Teradata developer Client is currently seeking a Data Engineer (Financial Crimes) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications within the Financial Crimes technology domain. The ideal candidate will design, code, test, and debug programs, working closely with business partners to define requirements and deliver solutions in an Agile environment. This position requires hands-on development with a focus on data sourcing, modeling, and provisioning for large-scale anti-money laundering (AML) initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Develop complex requirements for enhancing, modifying, and maintaining applications Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and support activities Work closely with business partners to define requirements for system applications Provide insight and direction from a data perspective, assess impacts on technology systems, and participate in the full development lifecycle Contribute to story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines Handle technical aspects of the application, including change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation
Requirements:
Typically requires 10+ years of applicable experience BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline Experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, and TPT Experience with Informatica 10.x Proficiency in UNIX Shell scripting and Autosys Experience with Cloudera CDP and Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala) Strong data sourcing, data modeling, and data provisioning skills Experience with data analysis and SQL performance tuning Experience with SDLC, Agile, CI/CD tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible) Effective communication and listening skills Desired skills: Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and
