Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Elk Grove, CA(Hybrid). The candidate will design and optimize Spark- and SQL-driven workflows while maintaining real-time streaming systems and ensuring data quality across large, complex data sets .

Rate Range:

$55/hour to $62/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark, Python, Scala, and Java. Build and optimize SQL-based ETL processes to support high‑volume data workflows. Implement and manage cloud‑based data storage and processing solutions (AWS/GCP), including S3 and data lake technologies like Iceberg. Develop and support real‑time data streaming pipelines using MSK/Kafka. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security while troubleshooting issues in back‑end and data pipeline systems. Collaborate closely with data scientists and cross‑functional engineers to deliver reliable, data‑driven solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in back-end development with a strong focus on data engineering. Strong proficiency in Spark, Python, Scala, and Java for building scalable data pipelines. Expertise in

SQL, ETL

Pay Details:
