We are currently seeking a Junior Data Engineer - HYBRID to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US). Job Description - Junior Data Engineer (Entry Level) Day to Day Job Duties (What this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) Assist in developing and maintaining basic data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in a cloud environment under the guidance of senior data engineers. Support data ingestion, transformation, and loading activities using tools such as Databricks and Snowflake. Write and maintain simple SQL queries and Python scripts for data processing, validation, and reporting. Participate in troubleshooting data pipeline issues and help identify root causes with supervision. Perform routine data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of datasets. Document data workflows, tables, and processes following established standards. Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and translate them into basic technical tasks. Learn and follow data engineering best practices, coding standards, and version control processes. Basic Qualifications (Skills required for this job with minimum years of experience on each) 0-2 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, software development, or a related technical role (internships, academic projects, or traineeships count). Basic working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data. Introductory experience with Python for data processing or automation. Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure or AWS) through coursework, projects, or entry-level work. Exposure to data engineering tools such as Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake is preferred but not mandatory. Understanding of fundamental data concepts such as tables, schemas, and basic data modeling. Travel This position does not require regular travel. Occasional travel may be required for training or team meetings, if applicable. Degree Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent educational background or practical training. Nice to Have (But not a must) Academic or project experience with big data or distributed processing tools (e.g., Spark). Exposure to Azure data services such as Data Factory or Synapse through coursework or labs. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems. Strong willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
