Boston, MA Senior Data Engineer, Bio-tech - Spark/Scala/Elastic Search Permanent Boston, MA Posted 14 hours ago Talener Our client is a an established Bio-tech / Software company that builds a suite of SaaS products to support scientific workflows, accelerating R D across Biology and Chemistry. We are partnered them to hire multiple data engineers (Mid and Senior level) to join a small team where you'll be working across ETL and solving complex big data problems.

Job Title:

Senior Data Engineer or Data Engineer (Based on level/experience/internal equity)

Location:

100% Remote. Must be based in US (ET or CST). Must be eligible to work for any US employer without needing sponsorship/visa transfer. No C2C or third parties.

Required Technology and Skills:

5+ years professional data engineering experience, building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL pipelines Expertise with various database technologies (Graph, Mongo, SQL, etc) and experience implementing the database layer of applications Professional experience and expertise working hands-on with Elastic Search, and having implemented Elastic Search to support data issues of scale Expertise with ETL development - speeds, feeds, processing large amounts of inbound data for use downstream Hands-on data engineering experience with Spark or DASK Scala programming experience Experience working within bio-tech, biology, chemistry, or working with related scientific data Experience working with AWS environment and related tools - ECS, Lambdas, etc.

Additional Skills:

Degree in IT, Computer Science or STEM related field Experience in bio-tech or life sciences Expertise with Elastic Search, database architecture,

ETL, Spark, Salary Range:

140,000 - 180,000 base salary (Based on level/experience), with potential 10% annual bonus based on leveling
