Essential Duties:
Lead the design and implementation of C2FO's data architecture, pipelines, and storage solutions and perform the following job duties:
Data Architecture & Development:
Architect and implement complex data systems and pipelines that meet business requirements.
Data Integration:
Lead the development of scalable and efficient data processing frameworks.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and enhance data pipeline performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve strategic data objectives.
Data Governance & Security:
Implement data quality standards, governance frameworks, and security measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Mentorship/Leadership:
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior data engineers and team members. Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and inspire a team.
Innovation & Best Practices:
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and advocate for their adoption where applicable. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of progressive experience which must include the following, concurrently: Data Modeling, Designing and implementing BI solutions to support advanced data-driven decision-making in complex systems. 6 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with proven expertise in building large-scale data pipelines. Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, expertise in SQL and database systems. Experience with distributed systems and big data tools Hands-on experience with cloud platforms. Strong evidence of developing advanced analytics and visualization solutions using Power BI and other reporting tools, enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions efficiently. Experience with
Data Architecture & Modeling:
Designing and implementing robust data models and architectures using tools like AWS Redshift, DBT, and other modern data stack technologies to support complex analytics workflows and business intelligence needs. Experience with
ETL/ELT Processes:
Designing, building, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Experience leveraging AWS Cloud services to build, deploy, and maintain analytics infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. Demonstrated track record of partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders to understand requirements, develop analytics solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Experience developing and implementing standardized governance processes, including KPI promotion workflows, to ensure consistent and reliable metrics are used across all business units. Demonstrated track record of establishing and leading specialized chapter groups focused on analytics practices, data governance, and quality control to foster collaboration, establish best practices, and drive innovation across teams. Experience with designing and delivering training sessions on key data tools, including AWS Redshift, DBT, and Power BI, to equip teams with the skills needed to perform advanced analytics and reporting. Experience with facilitating workshops and office hours to promote best practices in software development life cycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, enabling efficient and reliable data operations. Strong evidence of collaboration with IT and DevOps teams for BI solution deployment, server architecture planning, and platform performance monitoring, proactively addressing potential system issues.
